P-Module: Magnetic Nanostructures (MN-C-P-PC)
This module covers the preparation and investigation of magnetic nanoparticles and nanostructures, ranging from nanoparticle synthesis and self-organization to the investigation of structure and magnetism using X-ray and neutron scattering techniques.
The module consists of lectures (1SWS), a seminar, and a research project in our group.
Ausgewählte Themen der Physikalischen Chemie (MN-C-WP/c)
My part of this lecture series addresses the structural characterization of nanostructures using scattering techniques. We will focus on the different length scales accessible using diffraction and small-angle scattering techniques.
In the associated laboratory experiment 'Licht- und Röntgenstreuung an Nanoteilchen', you will characterize nanoparticles using dynamic light scattering and SAXS.
Analytik & Spektroskopie II (MN-C-AS II)
My part of this lecture series provides an introduction to the basics of light scattering and small-angle scattering techniques for characterization of structures on the nanoscale. These methods are relevant in a wide range of research fields such as materials chemistry, soft matter research, and biochemistry.
